Starpower to Bring Luxury Appliances and Electronics to Tarrant County in 2017
Starpower Home Entertainment Systems, Inc. (“Starpower”), is excited to announce its new 15,000 square foot, multi-million-dollar concept store opening in the heart of Southlake, Texas, featuring Ed Kellum & Son Appliances (“Ed Kellum & Son”). The new concept will feature Starpower and Ed Kellum & Son’s latest evolution of innovative technology and upscale lifestyle products.
“The relationship with Ed Kellum & Son has been a tremendous success. The tenured employees and outstanding service culture for upscale appliances fits extremely well under the Starpower umbrella. We are excited to bring Southlake, Texas, and the greater Tarrant County, Texas, area something unlike any other retail experience,” said David Pidgeon, CEO of Starpower.
“This innovative showroom sorts through the challenges of making complex home and lifestyle decisions. Most importantly, our customers leave our store with the peace of mind that the job will be done right. We love being a part of Southlake and are thrilled to bring our concept to this amazing community,” said Daniel Pidgeon, Chairman of Starpower.
Daniel Pidgeon also serves as Chairman of the Consumer Technology Association, the owner of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES®) in Las Vegas. In speaking to the challenge of the new store and retailing in general, Daniel Pidgeon stated, “It is not enough to just see innovative products – they must prove how they impact one’s life. This concept is designed with one purpose – Making Life Better.”
“Starpower has always been known for its cutting-edge technology. This showroom continues that 20-year legacy by allowing people to interact with technology and home appliances like never before,” said David Pidgeon. “The Ed Kellum & Son brand will be a welcomed addition to the City of Southlake that currently lacks a luxury appliance retailer.”
Starpower’s existing location on Southlake Boulevard will be relocated to the new showroom at 1600 East Southlake Boulevard in early 2017. Starpower will more than triple its staff at that location and bolster its award-winning custom installation resources in the greater Fort Worth, Texas, marketplace. Starpower’s new store is based on its highly successful flagship location in North Dallas which opened in 2013. Designed by Phil White, previously of L Brands, Inc. (including Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, The Limited), brings together both Starpower and Ed Kellum & Son into a world class “Luxury Living” showcase.
Starpower’s high performance lineup of audio, video and automated control assortments from brands like Sony, Crestron, Samsung, LG, Klipsch, Martin Logan, Mark Levinson, Sonos, Marantz as well as Starpower’s acclaimed Custom Leather will be re-launched in all-new displays. The new location will also feature 67-year-old Ed Kellum & Son Appliance Company with actual working appliances and “live” kitchens from Sub Zero, Wolf, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Bosch, Viking, Miele, and Thermador. Displays inside will also showcase affiliated companies selling home-related products including StarFloors, Inc. (“StarFloors”), one of the largest floor covering companies in the United States, and StarSD, LLC (“Star Interior Resources”), an affiliated construction resource company.
